You guys. Ever since I got pregnant I was so eager and ready to start nesting and putting together my baby boys nursery!
Unfortunately, I couldn’t get to doing that as soon as I wanted because this bedroom was currently being used as mine and my husband’s office/storage space while we worked on renovating our garage and turning that into an office/gym space. Once that was completed a few weeks ago, and everything moved in there, we got to start the whole set up of our baby boy’s nursery. 🙂
This room makes me so happy. It makes having a baby all that more real and makes me happily anticipate the arrival of our first child.
God is good. God is faithful.
The bedroom was already painted a sage green but I painted an off-white accent wall to help brighten up the space This mobile is very special to us. Some of our dearest friends hand-crafted this for us and it will always be a keepsake. These book/toy shelves were made by Brad months ago for a different project and have ended up being the perfect thing to add to our boy’s nursery for books and toys of his! Brad’s grandpa has always been an amazing artist and we were blessed to inherit some of them a couple of years ago. It just so happens they match baby boy’s nursery perfectly!! I had so much fun with this closet. It originally had sliding doors on it and we removed them and added curtains. Then I hand painted the brownish orange strokes on the wall (cheaper than wallpaper) and love how it turned out. I DIE over newborn clothes. Top photo is another painting by Brad’s grandpa — the bottom painting is by Brad! A few years ago Brad and I had a date night where we followed a Bob Ross tutorial and this was Brad’s and I love having it in the nursery. I used this template from Canva and then made adjustments. I hadn’t found many pieces of artwork I liked that had a lot of meaning to them, so I came up with my own. The ADORABLE Peter Rabbit nightlight and stuffed animal are one of the things my mom gifted us at my shower.
